It’s often said that less is more, but at Costco that’s often the case. And then there are Costco Business Centers. If Costco is the place where more is more, Costco Business Centers are the place where one truck is enough.

Costco Business Centers sell many of the same items as Costco, but maybe not in the way you might expect. They typically cater to businesses, but anyone with a Costco membership can stop by, buy 85 muffins, and be on their way.

Here are nine products you’ll only find at Costco Business Center.

1. Over 6 pounds of Nutella

There are many products I’ve seen at Costco that have caught my eye, but none of them compare to the incredible wonder that this single product has created: a 3kg jar of Nutella.

Yes, the delicious chocolate hazelnut spread, but in a tub-sized container, is available at Costco malls. Perfect for literally diving into after your next bad breakup without breaking your budget.

2. Enough snacks to stock a convenience store

That’s what it’s all about, really. Costco business centers have plenty of snacks that are packaged for individual resale but sold in bulk, so you can open your own poolside snack bar and charge the neighborhood kids Nutter Butters, Oreos, Pockys, Pringles, and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. If you have a real convenience store, they’re useful for this, too.

3. Enough Diapers to Cover All the Babies in Your Area’s Maternity Ward

Hey, hospitals and daycares have to buy a lot of diapers somewhere, right? It might as well be Costco Business Center. A box of 192 diapers seems like a lot until you have a baby, and then you might appreciate the convenience factor and the handy toddler-sized box that older siblings can play with.

All diapers also make great baby shower gifts, even if new parents seem confused about how they’ll use 600 diapers (…it’s a surprise!).

4. Cat Food Boxes

When I say boxes, I mean boxes. For example, Costco Business Centers sells a case of 60 5.5-ounce cans of Friskies Food. My litter box cat refuses to eat pâté and will only eat the finest cat food mixed with rice, but if his behavior ever changes, this can will last him about 73 days. And he’s no toddler, as he weighs nearly 10 pounds and is a year and a half old. This is a great option for rescues and cat lovers alike.

5. All the Batteries

When I say you can find all the batteries at Costco Business Centers, I don’t mean you can find a few batteries or many types of batteries there. I mean, you can get 48-packs of AA and AAA batteries, in case your kids get a bunch of battery-operated toys for their next birthday or you have two dozen remote controls to turn on at the same time.

Buy two packs and you might be able to power a small vehicle. I don’t know much about batteries except that they’re typically sold in packs of 12.

6. A Whole Goat

Yes, you can definitely buy a whole goat at Costco Business Center. You can also buy a whole lamb. Both weigh about 30 pounds and are stripped down to meat and bones (no organs or cleaning required), and they’ve been slaughtered, so they’re suitable for halal diets.

If you’re craving goat curry, this is the place for all your goat-related needs (15-pound boxes of lamb or goat cubes are also available).

7. Many Types of Takeout Containers

Costco’s malls cater to office-type businesses, but they also offer plenty of restaurant-specific products. Take, for example, the 96 different types of takeout containers and boxes available today, July 10, 2024.

You don’t have to be a restaurant owner to buy them, either. They could be useful for your next big family reunion, church potluck, or neighborhood community party. Or, you know, just because you never want to do dishes again. Bad for the environment, but good for Costco’s bottom line.

8. Commercial Appliances

Stocking restaurant supplies also means stocking the equipment a restaurant needs, from frying pans to commercial-grade freezers, ranges, dishwashers, fryers, and ice makers. The 500-pound shipping weight of the Kutano 2-Door Upright Freezer, for example, is no problem for Costco to deliver to your restaurant or grocery store.

Some items are sold in-store only, meaning you have to go in person to one of Costco’s few retail locations. But you can also order commercial appliances directly from Costco.

9. Volume Sales

Technically, volume sales are shipped directly from Costco malls to your location, but they are only available through the company’s mall section.

Volume sales don’t mean 96 batteries, but rather pallets of printers, bushels of apples, or a truckload of office chairs. Costco has what you need, even if the amount is ridiculous.

Conclusion

While there aren’t Costco malls everywhere there are regular Costco stores, there are plenty of them. Whether you need something in bulk for your business, for a party, or just because you want to relax in a jar of Nutella, you’ll find what you’re looking for here.
